Snow, birthdays, and fun

So we woke up this morning to well over 6 inches of snow. This is crazy. I cannot believe that it is supposed to be spring (and almost summer at that). I had to dig out Katelyn's winter coat and snow pants just so she could go to school. crazy. It is now 11:30 and still snowing. The strange thing about Airdrie/Calgary, is that on Saturday it is supposed to be 18 degrees. I will let you know if I ever adjust to this crazy weather.

We returned home from Lethbridge on Monday. Alexa had a great birthday. We spent the day hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's and Alexa's friend, Adam Friesen came to enjoy cake with us. Grandpa made Alexa her very own cake to play and enjoy. I was very proud of Steve for not shoving it in her face :) Alexa enjoyed manipulating the textures and tasting the icing. She remained pretty civil with it so that was good. After cake, we came back to Calgary and went to Chuck E Cheese. The girls had a blast.
Alexa's new thing after Monday is pointing 1 finger at everything. Here she is pointing, telling me she is 1. So cute.

Grandpa also made a cake for Naleah while we were in Lethbridge. She is really into Swiper right now. In fact Swiper (imaginary) goes everywhere with her. She tells him stories, sings him songs and locks him in her room so he doesn't swipe things. So Grandpa made her a cake with Swiper on it. It was strawberry flavored and so yummy. It was a nice surprise for her/us. They also got her a Dora table, here she is sitting so proud.

While we were in Lethbridge, we were able to go to the park and enjoy the nice weather (before we returned to snow). Here are the girls enjoying the park. They love being outside. Oh, the bandaid on Naleah's head (in case you are wondering) is to help her bonk feel better. She loves her bandaids.
