Alexa's Incident

We just wanted to let you know about Alexa's horrible incident yesterday...

Within minutes of arriving at some friends in Innisfail (about 45 minutes from Airdrie) Alexa got her finger stuck in the back door going to the outside. We rushed her to the hospital in Innisfail and they inturn sent us to Children's in Calgary (1hr1/4 from Innisfail). Thankfully the wound was not as bad as first expected and Alexa was able to walk away with stitches only on her right ring finger. We don't know exactly how much of her finger she lost (appears to be the tip) and if her nail will grow back (she lost all of her nail). We are asking for prayer against infection as well as amazing healing. Alexa is such a trooper. She spent the day figuring out how to use her left hand for everything and only seemed to get frustrated once when she was trying to shovel sand into a bucket, it took her a minute and then she figured out. I am so proud of her.
